Externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tube combines characteristics of steel and concrete with externally prestressed technique. Its bearing capacity is highly enhanced and its application is greatly widened. For now, the researches about prestressed concrete-filled steel tube are fewer than the concrete-filled steel tube in domestic and overseas. Based on development of concrete-filled steel tube and externally prestressed technique in domestic and overseas, the mechanical behaviors of externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tubular eccentric compress member and bend member are analyzed and studied in the methods of theory analysis and numerical simulation. The main achievements are summarized in detail as follows:According to good properties of externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tube, the norm of every kind of material is generalized in terms of present codes or rules. Two kinds of construction technology and constitution principles of concrete-filled steel tube are represented;Eccentric structural stress-strain of externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tube is theoretically analyzed in stages of external prestressing, loading and destruction. And the formulas of ultimate bearing capacity as well as strength and stabilization check are deduced;Destruction pattern, stress-strain's curve and distribution of eccentric structure are analyzed by ABAQUS. The effect of eccentricity ratio and bond strength is researched;Bending structural stress-strain of externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tube is theoretically analyzed in stages of external prestressing, loading and destruction. And the formulas of elastic and ultimate bearing capacity are deduced;Stress-strain's curve of bending structure is analyzed by ABAQUS. The effect of bond strength is researched. The bend member of externally prestressed concrete-filled steel tube is compared with the bend member of common concrete-filled steel tube.
