With the development of urbanization, high-rise building is more and more popular. Pile foundation in high-rise buildings in the application has its own advantages, therefore, pile foundation is widely used in such buildings, especially in some areas of the soft soil. In these areas, when natural foundation bearing capacity meet the requirements, can cause much settlement. The general design does not consider the bearing capacity of soil between the piles, it is the piles bear the full load. But the design concept of the settlement reducing pile foundation think that the single pile force is close to the ultimate bearing capacity and consider the bearing capacity of the soil between piles. So, how to control the settlement is the design key. This article use FLAC 3D simulated and analyzed the settlement reducing pile foundation, the main contents are as follows:(1) Accumulated and analysised the literature of home and abroad, the FLAC 3D (three-dimensional rapid of Lagrangian finite difference method) is adopted in this paper to analyze the influence factors to the settlement of single pile. which are load, soil parameters between piles, pile length, pile diameter, caps stiffness,caps size, thickness of the bedding layer, Elastic modulus of the bedding layer and other factors. Some useful conclusions are given for analysis and study of pile group analysis.(2) Reducing pile under the raft was simulated and analyzed. By establishing model of pile group, analyze the influence of the pile space and pile length adjusted method to settlement of pile, then attain the effective methods to reduce settlement.(3) Based on the analysis of the affecting factors. we can obtain each parameter and settlement curve and the settlement change rule with the variation of parameters. (4) With a practical project, based on the synthesis of each affecting factor.this paper uses FLAC 3D to simulate the piled raft foundation, then according to reducing pile settlement calculation method to simulate and calculate its settlement. It shows that the methods of reducing settlement in this article can reach the purpose of reducing settlement and eliminate the differential settlement. It can also reduce the number of piles, which can greatly save the cost of project, thus fulfilling the purpose of the settlement reducing pile foundation optimum design.
