While the developing of the world economy, energy conservation and environmental protection becoming two issues of widespread concerned, with the "green economy" and "sustainable development" concept widely spread, the "green light" issue of lighting field got a lot of support and research from Researchers and engineering, at this stage have Large number of achievements. High Intensity Discharge(referred to HID lamps), relying on its good light efficiency, long service life, and the characteristics of Mercury meager, widely used in the home and commercial lighting field. Due to HID lamps's negative resistance effect of its own, it can not be directly connected to the Grid, need a ballast as double-ended interface device connect to the Grid and HID lamp. Due to the continuous improvement of the HID lamp's performance, need the ballasts also gradually improved, has experienced the first inductive ballast, low-frequency electronic ballast, ballast forward to the third generation of the development of high-frequency electronic ballasts. Electronic ballast operating frequency generally has 20KHz or even higher, making original heat balance in the discharge tube been destroyed, expressed as intensity instability directly, light flashes, and may even cause the lamp burst, the phenomenon known as acoustic resonance, will serious impact on the effect of light.The topic focus on acoustic resonance phenomenon of 4KW HID lamps, the use of the arc imaging equipment and Electric parameters collection system, the research including:(1)the study of the structure of HID lamps, light emitting mechanism and the V-I characteristic curve, and use plasma theory analysis acoustic resonance phenomenon. (2) research in the previous detection methods of acoustic resonance phenomenon, from the aspects of physical properties and electrical characteristics, summarize and classifie the existing methods, and complete the design of the circuit which is based on integrated PLL chip, achieve narrow-band filter to extract single acoustic resonance signal.(3) use electrical parameter acquisition device, through the design of 4KW HID light side electrical parameter measurement device, send the voltage and current sampling signal to the electrical parameter acquisition board, the software interface real-time monitoring the light side voltage and current values, analysis the actual circuit's static error, dynamic characteristics, frequency characteristics, and other aspects of the system. (4) use the arc imaging equipment, get the arc images of the HID lamp,and using the MATLAB does various methods of image processing to get clear images of arc, reflecting the arc image situation of acoustic resonance phenomenon, and compare to the electrical parameters to further reflect the acoustic resonance phenomenon.This issue of phase-lock loop circuit to make a detailed analysis and research, combined with the phenomenon of acoustic resonance,make use of the PLL circuit to achieve track a weak signals from the strong noise enviorment. and use the arc imaging equipment and electrical parameter acquisition device to reflecting the acoustic resonance phenomenon from two aspects of arc image and electrical parameters.
