In recent years, high-speed railway in the world is developing rapidly, and China's high-speed railway is also in large-scale construction. Accurately calculating high-speed railway capacity to assess high-speed rail network's capacity utilization is important to improve high-speed railway transportation organizations. The utilization of high-speed railway capacity is expected to be discussed further research both now and in the future. This article describes the current calculation methods commonly used in high-speed railway carrying capacity, and presents methods by compression or encryption train diagram with computer-aided tools.By building high-speed railway network model, timetable management model, the article builds a high-speed railway train operation simulation system, which simplified simulating high-speed railway system. Using a computer aided tools through establishing timetable compression model and the algorithm or using timetable encryption technology to generate a saturated timetable could be used as an evaluation method of lines capacity utilization, and is also one of the timetable evaluation methods. By adjusting, compressing, or encrypting timetable, and then through the train operation simulation, we can calculate and analysis the occupation and ability using levels of the network node through simulation output data of trains running, and evaluate the ability using of the lines. Paper introduces high-speed rail network capacity simulation system, general structure and function module design, and develops the software in C# language using Visual Studio 2008 programming development tools and database of Access, realizing the functions such as timetable's compression, modification, evaluation and the rail network building, train simulation operation, delay loading, statistics of the network node utilization. At last, we take Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway which has been operated as an example, analysis its weekly timetable, and evaluate the line capacity utilization. According to the network topology structure data the computer generates a simulation network, runs high-speed trains, then statistic and analysis the operation results, evaluate the network node's capacity utilization level.
