At present, as environmental pollution, energy crisis and other issues highlighted, clean solar energy to be put on the agenda. Crystalline silicon cells still occupy the main market. At the same time, the high cost of crystalline silicon cell production and limit its further large-scale application. Conventional process of crystalline silicon solar cell is simple and suitable for mass production, so they have occupied the vast majority of current commercial market. However, their photo-electrical conversion efficiency is limited by the process of diffusion and metallization. The diffusion process normally requires low-doping in order to reduce the carrier recombination, while the metallization process requests heavy-doping to form good ohmic contacts. Therefore, a heavy doping, which makes the surface sheet resistance reaching about 45Ω/□, is usually required. As a result, the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic solar cells are greatly limited.In this paper, the selective emitter solar cells are prepared by changing the conventional silicon solar cell production process. Before diffusion, a layer of phosphorus paste used as the diffusion source is printed in the electrode region. Then under high temperature, heavily doped region in the electrode is achieved. At the same time, light doping in the non-electrode area is finished by using POC13 a phosphorus source. Then the properties of prepared solar cell are tested. The energy conversion efficiency of selective emitter efficiency solar cells increases 0.6% over than that of the conventional solar cells. The main research work in this paper summarized as follows:1,The principle of solar cells are introduced, from the structure, model and parameter analysis, and describes the current silicon solar cell production technology and equipment.2,The selective emitter of the proposed principle and implementation of research. Compared according to each mode, select a phosphate slurry method easy to implement and study the selective emitter phosphorus slurry preparation process of the battery.3, According to experimental procedures, the preparation of the selective emitter cells and conventional batteries for testing and analysis, by contrast, demonstrate the advantages of selective emitter cells to achieve the desired results.
