| In recent years, the regional urban rail transit as the main transportation mode of contacting the outskirts of the city, the satellite towns and the downtown has played an important function to the economic development along the line and residents travel. A reasonable length of the regional urban rail transit not only is the amount of macro-control of, but also is a vital investment basis. The line is longer, the longer is the service range, the larger the benefits produced, the greater the investment and operating costs, while increasing the civil, electrical and mechanical complexity, and increasing the operational difficulties;the line is shorter, it can not attract passenger traffic, resulting in operating losses.The paper focuses on this problem and researches the technical indicators of the regional urban rail transit, and researches systematically the economic length of the regional urban rail transit from an economic point of view.The paper starts from analyzing the concept of the regional urban rail transit and the classification of that, summarizes the features and functions of the regional urban rail transit. The paper also researches the technical indicators of the regional urban rail transit which obtains the applicability and range of each indicator by researching the value of target speed, the station spacing, time, the laying mode, the vehicle standard, and the operation organization.Through analyzing the length of the regional urban rail transit in different cities at home and abroad, the paper analyzes and researches the factors affecting the length of the regional urban rail transit.Based on theoretical analysis; the paper researches the reasonable economic length of the regional urban rail transit from the economic point of view. Based on the density function of mass trip demand,it establishes the benefit function and cost function of the regional urban rail transit, adds the two functions together, and get the objective function of maximizing social benefits of the regional urban rail transit. Through solving this function, we can obtain the reasonable economic length of the regional urban rail transit. Benefit function of that is divided into the passengers'saving time benefit function and the fare income benefit function; cost function is divided into construction cost function and operation cost function. it establishes the nonlinear function of social benefits function and obtains the reasonable economic length of the regional urban rail transit through solving the model. |
