Based on deep analysis of the grid-connected PV generation system, simulation model of the whole system was completed. This model can simulate the output characteristics of the PV cells under different conditions. The output characteristics of PV cell, module and array with some of the cells shaded were studied.This paper set the double stage grid-connected PV generation system as the research object and focused on current increment MPPT control method and its improvement. In addition, the grid-connected control method was discussed as well.Based on the simulation and research, the paper discussed different methods of improving system generation. Two projects were discussed as examples. Discussed two-converter control method's effects compared with one-converter control. This paper also studied the improvement of power generation using distributed MPPT control in comparison with centralized MPPT control.The paper proposed a complete model for evaluating power generation of PV system in engineering application, including evaluating the influence on PV system generation under different kinds of shading, multi-converter control and distributed MPPT control.
