With the fast developments of Chinese economy, the problem, such as energy shortage and environmental pollution and so on, is worse. So insuring sustainable development via lightening weight, decreasing fuel consumption, achieving energy savings by improving qualities of spare parts and improving security of vehicle industry is one of basic elements. The weight of vehicle body, underpan (including suspension system) and engine is approximately more than 65% of its own. The leaf spring is one of key spare parts, so developing qualities of leaf spring is improving performances of a vehicle.This article mainly focuses on materials of high strength spring, design and calculation of leaf spring and emulation. It develops a new automotive leaf spring with high stress, and then achieves the requirement of the lightweight of automobile and limiting gas emissions.(1) Research the structure of some taper springs, design the structure of new automotive leaf spring with high stress, focus on the calculation method of leaf spring stiffness, arc height, stress, strength, and then design the performance of new automotive leaf spring with high stress.(2) Abstract:The leaf spring is one of the important component s in vehicles. This paper presents the reliability design method of the Small Piece Tapered Leaf Spring. Technique from the second moment method is employed for the reliability design of the Small Piece Tapered Leaf Spring on the condition of known probabilistic characteristics of basic random variables. The reliability design information of the Small Piece Tapered Leaf Spring may be accurately and quickly obtained by u sing the practical computer program.(3) Spring for three-dimensional parametric modeling, research based on Pro/E of the parameters of parts library development methodology, introduced Pro/E program development process. Through the use of Pro/TOOLKIT functions to deal with, so the use of Pro/TOOLKIT to call their own toolkit library brought to realize the original function of the software on the basis of expansion. Generated through the analysis of the main parameters of the required spring, the preparation process to achieve serration leaf spring parameters of three-dimensional model, simplifies the modeling process of spring.(4) Use MSC.AFEA analysis software to emulate assembly pressures, stiffness, stress, ending displacement etc. of new automotive leaf spring with high stress, compare with design calculation and sample test result, continue to improve design, and complete the development of new automotive leaf spring with high stress.The fact demonstrates, the research in the Paper may lift design accuracy and the rational, decreased all kinds of labors Power and resource using up, And lifted Production efficiency enormously, yet guide manufacture correctly. The means which proposed in the paper possesses some universality, and may supply the some reference action to different leaf spring research.
