Research background and structure of steering system of hydraulic modular assembled trailer overseas and inland is analyzed in this thesis, combining with design objectives, significance and content. The structure and principal of overall hydraulic modular assembled trailer and steering system structure are analyzed and the whole research plans are put forward.According to theoretical requirements under current typical construction vehicle steering model, typical steering theories are analyzed, theoretical angle formula under multi axes and tandem carpool are deduced, and a unified format for the angle calculation is put forward. Hydraulic modular assembled trailer model is established by optimal theory, and utilization of symmetry is introduced.Based on the proposed steering optimal theory, parameter simulation models are established under action of forces. Model movement relationships are analyzed, appropriate loading methods are selected, and overall steering system models are established according to ADAMS software features. Simulation shows that the models are cope with the actual situation. Through mechanical analysis between existing models of domestic and foreign vehicle of same type, the force transmission ratio of domestic vehicle is still much improvement potentials.Optimal Design of steering system should not only meet kinematics of steering angle coordination, but also from dynamic aspects of design, to provide data support for manufacture of enterprises. Therefore, hydraulic modular trailer optimal design considering force factor is proposed. Typical 6 axis vehicle optimizations are done. With respect to the original model, the objective function in considering of constraints force fell 40.3%, the objective function in no considering of constraints force fell 42.4%. The optimal steering angle and best steering rod forces have no direct link, but it's good to sacrifice some steer angle coordination to obtain appropriate steering force.For a variety of hydraulic carpool trailer combinations, steering knuckle holes will be not only numerous, but also be overlap and cross, which makes manufacturing of steering knuckle inconvenience and actual carpooling operation inappropriate. Therefore, manufacturing research of 6 to 12 axis vehicles are done for example, incorporative method, separate method and synthesis method are introduced, which provide a good constraint design for manufacturing. Then ABAQUS software is used to engage the whole steering mechanism of nonlinear finite element analysis by selecting appropriate work condition for quasistatic analysis.Finally, a common platform of optimal design for a variety of layout installments is developed by using the above research results. The platform is suit for 3 to 32 axes of character steering,3 to 5 axes of front and rear steering, and a flat trailer of steering. The digital platform has good scalability and versatility and has been put into actual practice.
