As a transportation lifeline, if the injury of bridge could bring great loss to people's lives and property. Especially in the after earthquake the rescue and mass transfer need the Smooth and. safe operation of lifeline project. In various bridge structures, simply supported beam and continuous beam are one common and popular type of bridge, and have a wider application.In recent years the continuous beam bridge is more common used in highway construction. however, the earthquake in China is also a frequent natural disaster, which shows studying theseismic behaviorof bridge assessment and post-earthquake has great significance. The role of bridge seismic damage after the injury is research to carry capacity analysis and post-earthquake assessments, which assurances that such bridges have the intact structure and the ability of safe operation under the effect of the earthquake.The assessment of the bridge run through the whole bridge planning, survey, design, construction and operation maintenance. There is a risk of events may occur in each step. Since the construction of the bridge has entered into the realizable boom, there are many bridges which have been running, or in the design either construction. In the future for a long period of time, a large number of bridges in service due, or the carrying capacity has a serious decline. At the same time the various disasters have been the important factors that the anti-bridge structure also contributed to damage of leading to damage of the bridge structure.Especially in the earthquake disaster, the sudden and devastating impact on the structure are not ignored. Therefore, the dimension of the bridge structure, routine maintenance, repair work will be the project focus. However, the mechanical analysis and estimation of operating environment and safety need to be taken before carrying out these projects. Thus, the assessment of damaged structures after the earthquake is particularly important. The working conditions of damage structure can be clearly understanding through investigating and studying the status of bridge damage, which is able to make the scientific basis of decision-making measures for a reasonable decision-makers.This paper describes the development status of the bridge and the existing achievements, and makes the analysis of Beam characteristics and damage mechanism of damage. Establish the appropriate framework for the assessment process and specific working model. The main research work are as follows:1,Analyzing the form factors of damage after the earthquake, which determines the impact and studies the security of the structure based on consequences of earthquake damage.2,Building the seismic risk assessment system of the bridges, gradually improving the system framework through the analysis of the various procedural steps.3,Adopting the modal method based on the change in the mechanical behavior of bridge structures after the earthquake to analyze the mechanical condition of the damage structure.4,According to the analysis of mechanical behavior and the status of bridge damage, seismic damage assessment and decision-making control program are drafted in specific project.Through this analysis:understanding he structure of the bridge in type, degree and ability to run in the late after the earthquake, which become the basis for the formation of damage control decision-making structure. In the specific practical projects the range of influencing factors are related and composed. This paper could provides some reference on the same bridge assessment and repair of the similar bridges.
