While the marine resources have become the focus of international competition and the ocean environment is directly linked to national security and sustainable development, the coastal developed countries give a priority to the marine science among their development of strategic areas. Ocean-graphic vessel, as a floating laboratory, is the key facilities to the action of ocean detecting. As ships'sailing, the currents near the surface of ship hull are rapid, which is hard to meet the environmental requirements of science observation equipment. To guarantee the installation space and environmental requirements of these observation equipments, the detecting instrument cabin comes to being. Refer to the advanced Ocean-graphic ships and their special equipment development abroad, proposed the Drop Keel System for the first time for Ocean-graphic ship at home, to avoid the traditional "rudder-shaft" type fin keel's disadvantage. Research the operational mechanism and functions of the Drop Keel System, and then gives and general design. Analyzed the design meth of NACA00 airfoil section, the design method and procedure of the fin keel is formed in this project. Then, the hydraulic calculation and analysis of the fin keel's state are completed to define the outline and internal structure of the instrument keel cabin, promotion unit's driving mode and its ability, and the locking method of the system. Finally, the design parameters are optimized by the finite element analysis of some components of the system. The specific contents are as follows:1) Combined with technological requirements of the new Ocean-graphic ship at home, research the operation mechanism of the Drop Keel System of ocean-graphic vessel to clear the design target. Then gives the general design for the system and determine the components of the system and corresponding functions and requirements.2) The design of the offsets and internal structure of the fin keel and its force analysis, structure calculation and hydraulic computation, and complete the structure anticorrosion calculation and analysis for fin keel as an example.3) Research the operating conditions of the fin keel to determine the driver method and its arrangement and finally gives the method of the calculation and checking of the structure parts and hydraulic parameters of the promotion unit.4) Research the locking method of the fin keel underwater to finish the sizing design of the hydraulic cylinder for the locking device, structure design and calculation of wedge briquette and arrangement of the supporting device of the fin keel.5) Analyze the operating process and relation of the promoting and locking device of the Drop Keel System to determine the monitoring and controlling strategy of the system. Research the integration design of each functional component of the Drop Keel System and its testing methods.
