With the development of ultra-high voltage technology, large electrical equipment is widely used. Because of the complexity of electrical equipment structure, at its operation conditions field s calculation is difficult. This paper made the boundary element calculation line, the surface model equation of, and described the derivation and corresponding fortran programming, explore an simplified calculation method electric field model.In order to find a suitable method for complex field electrical model is simplified,a simple model is put forward based on different models.With simplified methods were mainly the cuboid model, ring surface model and sphere model analysised, judgement on the simplified feasibility. Finally, through electric field calculation of HVDC converter valve shielded enclosure, analyzes the parameters simplified model, of contrast the before and after the simplified model method of engineering verification, proved simplified model is feasible and effective.For it is shown that the simplified model provides ideas and direction.
