The distributed characteristics of micro-grid had brought new opportunities and challenges to power system in operation and control. This paper had introduced multi-agent system (MAS) into the distribution network, which resulted in centralized dispatching and distributed control of the distribution network. Besides, the energy of the distribution network and micro-sources would be applied more efficiently and economically.Therefore, this paper firstly introduced Energy Hub, a new concept, to Micro-grid, and then analyzed the feasibility of the multi-agent system's application in Micro-grid. Secondly the author described in detail the functions of each micro-source'agents and their control strategies, then established a 3-tier energy control system based on MAS, which consisted of senior Agent, Energy Hub Agent and micro-sources'and loads' Agents. The author had made the different optimal operation strategies in isolated and interconnected operation, and described the function of each component agent. Finally, two kinds of Matlab models with multi-sources were established. The simulation results indicated that in the steady-state operation, multi-agent system could not only achieve the optimal operation and intelligent control of clean energy, and could improve the stability and reliability of distribution network. This control system had very important practical value in the optimal operation of power grid.
