Process system as the main energy dissipation system is carried on the optimized renovation to reduce energy consumption and cost saving and have the important meaning. In the study of process system energy integration optimization methods, this paper mainly researches the top-level analysis and energy integration across plants.In maintaining the power balance of utility system, it uses top-level analysis to optimize the utility system. The modification process will break the original utility system balance relations, and produce surpluses steam heat load. On the basis of predecessors, this paper use top-level analysis to utility system for energy saving optimization research. According to the basic principle of the top-level analysis, series of practical formulas are inferring, they can further improve the top-level analysis in the complex utilities system energy saving calculation. Finally a specific example is calculated in using improved top-level analysis.On the basis of the total site pinch technology, it does optimization energy-saving research to the utility system in using energy integration across plants. For the heat exchange within two pinches of two plants, it usually will be the result of the entire heat transfer system energy saving. But if it appears heat exchange outside two pinches across two plants, you should consider whether to continue. This paper mainly focuses on the heat exchange outside two pinches across two plants. If it appears heat-source and heat-sink at the same time at the same temperature in the area above or below two pinches across two plants. It is energy-saving to the total site system of heat transfer between two blocks in ideal condition.In the specific analysis of the energy integration across plants, it can be divided into direct and indirect energy integration or assisted and unassisted heat transfer across plants. It focuses on the more complex indirect energy integration and assisted heat transfer in this paper. The number of heat transfer at the different level temperatures is litter and better in the same plant. Because it will cause exergy lost. The heat transfer across two plants is as possible as occurring at the same temperature.Finally the method of energy integration across two plants extends to energy integration across more than two plants. In the application analysis of the practical example, the assisted heat transfer across plants is helpful to the energy-saving when it is occurs at the different level temperatures.
