So it has great significance to construct the city bus driving cycle .This paper is taking its bus operation and the road of Hefei city as object of research via detailed, thorough traffic investigation, utilize the concept of"the coverage rate and frequency of section of a highway or railway"of traffic research field,has made out four represented operation lines with higher coverage rate. Based on these lines, through on-bus data collection,have gotten magnanimity abundant bus road actual operation data.When conceived driving cycles from original data, domestically have utilized the concept of short trip. Test research cuts original data apart into the short trips more than 300, have calculated the 33 short trip eigenvalues that image operation feature of driving cycles such as speed , acceleration and acceleration standard deviation,and describing and analyzing them .Utilize the multivariate statistical analysis tools such as principal composition analysis and clustering further to analyze short trip eigenvalue. Study result according to two kinds do not distinguish to form distinct sample set. The first kind of short trip has represented crowded road traffic condition, second kind of short trip has represented unblocked the traffic condition of road. Consequently, the crowded road traffic condition, the unblocked traffic condition of road and the integrated driving cycle of Hefei can be built. By judging the results validity, it shows that the constructed driving cycle can represent the test data conditions.
