Bladder power pump (BPP) is a medical device which help the patients with neuronal bladder urinate. The research on mathematical model, performance analysis and simulated experiment is the basis of designing the BPP for clinical trials. The objective of this paper is to design the BPP of reasonable structure. To achieve the objective, mathematical model, simulated analysis of driving characteristic and micturition performance, control and structure parameters optimization, and simulated experiment of BPP are studied. The main research of the paper is as follow.1. The mathematical model of electromagnetic driving unit of BPP is built up using Equivalent Magnetic Charge method. Moreover, the mathematical model in the course of micturition of BPP is built up based on the structure of BPP, the principle of BPP and hydrodynamic theory. Comparing with the model of Finite Element Analysis, the established model has the properties of simplicity of modeling, high calculation efficiency and convenience of performance analysis.2. Based on the established model, the influence of main parameters, such as the electromagnet current, the air gap, the interval size between each permanent magnet (PM) and the numbers of PM acting on the electromagnetic driving performance and micturition performance of BPP is analyzed on the Matlab platform.3. The influence of control parameter and main structure parameters on micturition performance is investigated by orthogonal experiment. The influence order of parameters including current, the air gap, the number of PM and the interval size of PM on maximal pressure of BPP and the average urinary flow rate of BPP is analyzed by orthogonal experiment.Moreover, optimal parameters are obtained.4. Correctness of performance analysis using the established model of BPP is verified by simulated experiment. Moreover, correctness of parameters optimization design using orthogonal experiment is verified by simulated experiment. The achievements of this study not only are useful of improving the theory model of BPP, but also provide an important basis for the improved design of BPP.
