As Chinese urban development,the rapid development of coastal cities led to the rapid development of the coastal ports and terminals. In the construction of ports and terminals, people often use "artificial land technology. ". In the construction process, since the special engineering geological properties of dredger fill, people often encounter various difficulties, for example, a long consolidation period, insufficient capacity, etc. Therefore, the paper select high clay content hydraulic fill of dayaowan port in dalian city for the study. In this paper, the process of consolidation of dredger fill will be simulated by Laboratory experiment. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstiy,the study of the sampling area rough situation. After collecting the information of various aspects, this paper describes the location, distribution of natural conditions and soil structure of dayaowan port in dalian city.So people overallly know causes and distribution of dredger fill of dayaowan port in dalian city.Secondly, Laboratory simulation experiments. This section introduces main contents as follows:(1) test instruments and equipment (2) experimental design (3) processing and analysis of test datas. Test datas are mainly divided into two parts:(1) conventional soil tests and micro-structural tests,mainly including moisture content, density, consolidation, permeability, triaxial, direct shear, mineral composition, soluble salts, cation exchange etc.(2) monitoring test, mainly including vacuum, pore water pressure, surface settlement etc. Through processing and analysising experimental data,study some problems as follows:(1) choose the right plastic drainage board and best drainage board spacing. (2) study particles composition, mineral composition, organic matter content, soil structure, permeability, coefficient of consolidation and other changes in physical and mechanical properties of soft soil,and analysis influence of soil structure and soil physical and chemical properties to process of soil drainage and consolidation.(3)study the law of dredger fill settlement.study the law of changes in vacuum and pore water pressure dissipation at different locations and at different depths with different drainage board spacing. (4)study and find out suitable constitutive model of dredger fill of dayaowan port in dalian city.Thirdly, researches of strengthening mechanism of vacuum preloading method.In this section,firstly introduce several concepts which are associated with the vacuum preloading and seepage field theory. Then we study the vacuum transfer law in the course of vacuum preloading. Finally reveal the mechanism of the growing strength of dredger fill by stress and strain analysis of soil, effective stress analysis and microstructure analysis in the course of vacuum preloading.Fourthly, constitutive model of dredger fill. On the basis of the Laboratory simulation experiments and theoretical calculations analysis, establish Mohr-Coulomb elastic-plastic model, Cam-Caly model and modified Cam-Caly model.And Finally find out the most suitable constitutive model for dredger fill of dayaowan port in dalian city by numerical simulation calculation.
