ABSTRACT:With advanced technical merits and impressive transport capacity, urban railway transit gradually becomes the main method to solve traffic problems and alleviate transport pressure of metropolises. Reinforcing studies on transport capacity of rail transit line and improve traffic capacity supply is the key fundament to meet the traffic needs and coordinate internal relationship between each transit line. Meanwhile, under the background of building harmonious society, our government function is gradually transferring from "management type" to "service type", which requires urban railway transit to strengthen its service-oriented feature. It poses profound practical significance and social benefit to research on transport capacity optimization issue in the case of urban railway transit guaranteeing certain service level.Therefore, intergrading operational characters of urban railway transit, this thesis analyzes the transport capacity of urban railway systemic.Firstly, it overall studies the factors influencing the transport capacity, including passenger distribution and changes, fixed equipment, mobile equipment, train operation organization and so on.Secondly, in detail, it analyzes realizable line capacity of urban railway under different conditions, including blocking modes, turning-back conditions, service level and so on.Thirdly, from the point of meeting passenger flow's needs, the thesis builds a multi-objective optimizing model, in which the train's average load factor stands for transportation enterprise's benefits, passengers'average waiting time and carriages' crowding level for the service level. With the help of the optimizing model, this thesis finally obtains the optimal interval time of train operations, i.e. the transport capacity needed.Finally, the article analyzes the line capacity of the urban railway under the condition of web forming. In the collinear network, it puts forward related calculation formula based on the probability theory. In the non-collinear network, through simulation of transfer stations'passenger flow, it obtains the passenger loss value that's caused by constrained service level.
