The growing consumption of the electrical energy, and the concern of the environmental problem and renewable energy make the distributed generation is to be the most important research direction in the field of power system. The Distributed Generation System(DGS), which is based on microgrid technology, is the one of way to develop renewable energy resource, improve the reliability and expand the capacity of power supply system. The power supply of Distributed Energy System can be made up of various energy sources which are converted to electrical energy through the power electronic converters. The units of the microgrid can disperse separately, and connect to AC mains in parallel to microgrid system of DG. The power supply units of the system are parallel converter commonly. How to make the grid-connected converters work coordinately is one of the key issues to guarantee the system's stability and highly efficient operation. It is also the focus of this thesis. The theory of control technology for converter in Microgrid basing on droop characteristic is analyzed, and one kind of control strategies of this system is studied. Moreover the math model of droop control are built, based on the model, references for system design are analyzed and discussed. With establishing and analyzing the simulation model of microgrid system by MATLAB, both dynamic and steady performances of the system, which controlled by the droop control strategy, have been proved well. The control strategy is tested on Microgrid with four 25kW converters. The test manifested that the active power and reactive power are shared well. The system gets better steady and dynamic performance.
