The research and application of ecological concrete can effectively reduce adverse impacts of concrete on the environment, and adapt to the demand of sustainable development of concrete material. The traditional concrete component part is impervious and hardly compatible with ecological environment. But planting grass ecological concrete is a kind of Eco-concrete compatible with the plant. It possesses functions of structure protection and ecological protection, so it has been widely studied. In this paper, the materials composition, structure and property of planting grass ecological concrete are studied by making use of the basic theories of material science, and a kind of mix design method based on volumetric analysis is put forward, with well planting performance to meet the needs of engineering applications.Planting grass ecological concrete is composed of porous concrete vehicle, filling material of plant growth and surface soil, through rational optimization choice the material composition, mix design and molding process, to possess high strength, well permeability, appropriate PH value, and obtain better planting performance, to meet the structural and ecological protection needs of bank protection and slope protection project.Domestic researches about planting grass ecological concrete mainly focus on the high permeability with low strength. According to the domestic and foreign correlative research, also the conditions and requirements of engineering application, this paper put forward the design index and standard of planting grass ecological concrete, and brings forward a appropriate mix design method, including gradation design, computational method of cement content and water content, get a well water permeability, along with high strength planting grass Eco-concrete, and study its mechanical properties, permeability properties, pH, and others. The planting grass Eco-concrete designed by this paper has strength of 25MPa, pore ratio reached to 20%, pH value from 7.5~8.5 range, which adapt to plant growth conditions. This paper studies the planting grass Eco-concrete component part is used in landscape dock and bank protection engineering, with qualified protective performance and greening performance. Based on the selection of grass seed and plant grass process with the research and melioration of plant grass performance, the planting grass Eco-concrete engineering application protective benefit and ecological benefit have been improved.
