The masses of researchers of civil engineering pay more and more attention to find the exact location and the extent of the structural damage.This article briefly introduced the research situation and the main problems of structural damage identification, systematically summarized structural damage identification method and its main advantages and disadvantages in several tens of years. Based on previous researches of damage identification, the paper did many researches about structural damage identification under static load, the main work is as follows:1. For initial model deterministic structure, based on the static measurement data, find out the damage index of structure; for simple beam and continuous beam, consider situations beam damage of load position different, judge the structure of the damage being consistent with the hypothesis damage. When load position that damage elements is not the same in the damage index, using the damage index sensitive factor judge the sensitive degree of damage elements; when load near structure damage elements, sensitive factor of structure is relatively large, near the structural damage unit, the structure of the damage is more sensitive.2. For the random beam type structure, based on the static measurement data, find out the damage index of structure which consider error influence and evaluate probability of structural damage, then, use damage sensitive factor to judge structure sensitive degree. With several beam structure, considering structure analysis model error coefficient of variation 0.1 and measurement noise coefficient of variation 0.06, the sensitive degree of structure damage is much more accurate about load position variation, but the sensitive degree of some units sometimes have no desired effect.3. For the random beam structure, using an improved damage identification method-the results is adjusted and got back to equations, the result of damage identification carries on the structural damage identification and sensitivity analysis. For beam structure example of considering error influence, near the structural damage unit, the structure of the damage is more sensitive.
