With the rapid development of computer technology, integrated circuit technology as well as communication technology, electronic measuring instrument technology has undergone tremendous changes. As an common electronic measurement, the oscilloscope are also developing rapidly. Among them, the digital storage technology as an important tool for the field of testing is widely used in many areas. However, due to its large size, desktop digital oscilloscope is inconvenient to carry out for testing and field operate, and it no longer satisfy the needs of people, so a portable digital oscilloscopes have large room for development.Nowadays, the portable digital oscilloscope market is mainly dominated by foreign country. The research in domestic is relatively late, and mostly low-end products in the market. In this context, our research starts the projects focused on the research and development of portable digital oscilloscope. In this paper adopt the ARM + FPGA architecture and real-time sampling technology, and successful designed portable digital storage oscilloscope, with the highest sampling rate of 250M and 50MHz bandwidth. ARM + FPGA system has many advantages, as outstanding control capacity, flexible structure, simple external circuit, suitable for modular designing and so on. Adopting S3C44B0X of ARM7TDMI series of SAMSUNG company as heart of the system, control the entire system and data processing work. Using EP3C16Q240C8 of CYCLONEâ…¢series produced by ALTERA Co. as the system peripheral controller,which is mainly used as a buffer receiving data and used to control the sampling clock. In addition, digital oscilloscope we designed selected color LCD screen to display, with friendly interface as well as convenience interactiveThe test shows the digital oscilloscope has achieved real-time data acquisition, waveform display, and other basic processing functions. After a detailed analysis of each module, designing and commissioning, the design meet all the requirements.
