As the reformation of the electricity market, power enterprises need to improve their overall competitiveness by reducing the cost, and equipment maintenance cost is the biggest part of enterprise controllable cost. Thus how to reduce the maintenance cost by not affecting equipment's reliability and safety is the most concern question that enterprises cared.Power plant maintenance is a complex system engineering. With reasonable plan for maintenance, the equipment can be put into an effective production with higher speed and precision, more safety and economy, so that power enterprises are enable to obtain additional economic benefits. Life cycle cost management is chasing the goal that minimize the maintenance cost in programs. Every steps of program cost can be planed, organized and controlled. This management can provide us with information on decision-making, and achieve the purpose of optimizing the cost of equipment maintenance.This paper summarizes the current management of the maintenance problems and the concept of Life Cycle Cost Maintenance, which discusses the importance and necessity of establishing this system. Then based on the theory of LCC management, this paper calculates economic life of equipment and depreciation, gives the economic indicators of equipment maintenance and updating process, analyzes and evaluates the maintenance costs, and optimizes the maintenance plan. In addition, this paper introduces the differences between different situations, and gives each situation an analysis, then finally organically integrates everything and optimizes the final decision.
