With the intensification of the global energy shortage and the increasing demand for energy today, the use of wind energy alleviates the dependence on traditional energy sources. As a clean and green, pollution-free new energy, wind power is focused on in China and the world because of its promotion of sustainable development and energy saving. In China's current situation, the development of large scale wind power base is the trend. The randomness and intermittent of wind power is bound to cause a series of effects. In particular, the integration of large scale wind farm aggravates the impact on power grid. Therefore the research on characteristics of wind farm integration becomes an important issue. The power quality characteristic of large scale wind power integration is fully studied especially voltage and reactive power. The mathematics of three kinds wind turbine generator are set up for mechanical analysis, the impact on power grid of the integration of large scale wind farm is analysed as well as the integration measures. Importantly, the coordination of reactive power operation in large scale wind farm with SVC is studied. The reactive power operation coordination between constant voltage control double fed wind turbine and the SVC at the transformer is pointed out, and mechanisms is analyzed, coordinated operation between the two devices is to make voltage fluctuation the smallest at the point of common coupling. For this optimization problem, the enumeration method and differential evolution algorithm is used respectively to realize coordinated control of reactive power and voltage between the constant voltage control double fed wind turbine and SVC in wind farm.
