| Floods are disasters which pose a great threat to the survival of the people and development of the nations all over the world. It is a scourge in all people's hearts. According to statistics, floods rank first not only in economic losses but also in the number of casualties in all kinds of disasters around the world. Losses caused by floods accounted for 40% of the ones caused by all kinds of disasters. China is a great country. Floods have been the most severe disaster which will have a negative effect on the prosperity and development on our nation, because of the complicated geography and climate characteristics and socio-economic conditions. There are 105.95km2 land and 11.2% of the population suffering from the threat of flooding in China. Losses caused by torrent disasters are the most serious in all kinds of flood disasters. Torrents have a very severe impact. They could not only wreck houses and damage transport facilities, but also change terrain and landscape. With economic development and people's awareness of safety, people's requirements for safe house are becoming stronger and stronger. Therefore, it is a very important work to study the destruction and damage process of rural architectures. At the same time, it is urgent task to calculate the maximum impact load due to floods at different positions according a simple formula of impact load and Initial-boundary conditions.Impact load of floods have been studied in this article. The impact loads of experimental behaviors have been calculated using the flood impact load formula of Shiyun Xiao. The results have been verified. Some certain behaviors have been calculated using the formula. The results have been listed. It is easy to find and use the results. The flood impact load formula is so complicated that the formula will not be widely used. There is a limited for the listed results. It is not possible to list all results in all behaviors. Therefore, Two impact load calculation methods have been summarized. It is the first method to calculate impact load according the upstream water depth, slope and distance. The second method to calculate impact load is using the water deepth and velocity at the model place. At last, the method of calculating impact load was pointed out using the results of test.On the basis of the impact load, numerical analysis of rural buildings due to floods impact has been done by the finite element program in this article. The stress distribution, deformation, destruction and failure process of the structure due to flood have been studied in this paper. During the failure analysis process, Comparative Analysises of destruction have been done in different working conditions. One comparative analysis has also been done when the water level of floods is same and the distance is different, the other comparative analysis has also been done when the water level of flood is different and the distance is same.Acoording to the destruction and the failure characteristics of rural buildings, two kinds of stuctural measures have been pointed out in this article. One measure is to reduce partial destruction due to flood impact acoording enhancing the bonding strength between the mortar and bricks. The other mesure is to reduce the impact due to flood by the structure easy to collapse. It is a pretty measure to prevent the overall damage of buildings. |
