With the rapid development of economy and advanced science and technology, in our country, the large pumping stations are more and more, which play an important role in the national economy construction and people life. To improve the construction and management level of pumping station, through field investigation, numerical simulation, theoretical analysis and mathematical model, the topics analyze the efficiency of cascade pumping stations and the factors that influence pumping efficiency, and adjust the pump speed effectively and rationally, thereby reducing the actual loss which caused by mismatching between pump and motor, designed head and actual head. Reasonable arrangement of piping could improve the efficiency of pumping stations and pipeline; reduce energy consumption and running cost, which has important theoretic significance and use value.In this paper, with the large pumping station of JingDian Irrigation Area in Gansu Province as the research object, drawn the main conclusions:1. Only base pumping station has metering devices of water yield in the cascade Pumping station, in such circumstance, calculate the water added of each others pump stations through the mathematical model. To assess the water added efficiency of single pump station and pumping systems by using the actual power consumption of each pump station. Overall efficiency is low; the efficiency of part of these pumping stations is far below the national average.2. Using equipment parameters and the actual running of pumping stations, analyze the main reasons of part of pumping station with low efficiency, three points as following: (1)Type selection does not match with the pump motor. (2) The design head does not match with the actual head. (3) Channel flow and the water level of fore bay changes caused by irrigation water distribution.3.The principles of adjustment methods are different, in addition toils own advantages and disadvantages; there sultingenergy loss is different too. Variable-speed control is the best; minimum energy consumption and the most energysavin go fflow control.4.Characteristic curve of the pumpand pipingsystemisknown,within pump scalin glaw limits, using the similarity working conditiontheory and scalinglaw,we can determine the optimal speed of the pump.5. Using the "ä¹™"type Bend group, the installation distancebetween two 90-degree bend must be four times greater than the diameter of thepipe.
