Investigation And Analysis On Roadside Green Of Old Town Daowai In Harbin

The appearance of a city gained as the result of activities of people along the road at first; urban road plantingleave the primary impression for people.Old town Daowai takes a special historical position in Harbin. How to heritage and promote historical culture of the old town better, is that road plantingaccounts for a very important part. However, current situation of road plantingof old town is far from optimistic, because, under its special geographical environment, pre-planning of road plantingshows a lack of consideration, the plants fail to arrange properly in place and maintenance exist problems in the later period. Therefore, this article investigates and analyzes old town Daowai as follows:The whole paper is divided ino five chapters. In the first chapter of introduction, it illustrates the background, purpose and significance of the research; determines the content, concepts, research scope and method; summarizes the relaitonship between road plantingand urban development, and finally arragnes road plantingin order by the theoretical application of landcape.The second chapter makes an analysis of research background. That overall description of road plantingin Harbin, introduces the survey of road greening construction in old town Daowai, during the whole planning process in Harbin.The third chapter mainly carries on detailed investigation and analysis on current status of road plantingin old town Daowai. Based on the field research for several times, it illustrates the general situation of application of plants in details, which are covered every approach in the old town. First of all, it introduces the type, quantity, crown diameter, crown width of trees and shrubs and the width of red line of sidewalk, describes the overall status of road plantingin old town Daowai as well. In addition, it takes functions of landscape of roadside greening, environment protection and security as its main line and green section in the form of one board-two belt, two board-three belt as subordinate line, which presents current situation of road plantingof 24 roads to the research extent with illustrations and pictures, including effect of interval of planting, sizes of plants on road landscape, ecology and safety, influence of arrangement of plants on road landscape and ecology, and green shading effects, growth, planting bed, etc. Furthermore, it shows infuence of aspection characters on roadside greening. It summarizes main shortcomings of function of road plantingin old town Daowai, according to what mentions above.The fourth chapter is to analyze possible reconstruction countermeasure of road plantingin the future, such as how to satisfy the needs for road plantingmore, how to promote the old town with the heritage and history and so on. Selection and arrangment of plants in the process of road plantingconstruction in the future, including how to reflect old town culture better, how plants play bigger role in old town and so on.The fifth chapter mainly analyzes construction methods and maintenance of road plantingin old town.According to survery and analysis of current status, the paper sums up existing problems and proposes suggestions, in order to play a great role as well as function of landscape, ecology and protection, so the historical culture of old town heritages and develops far better.
