Alloy component are processed by warm extrusion formed with rough material. Because of its merits of high- intensity, strong- tenacity, low-density, alloy component are widely used in the modern weapon. Due to the complexity of the productive technology, so in process of manufacturing, some kinds of defects, maybe exist in the alloy component. These defects will directly cause the quality. The topic takes the curved surface component as the research object, using the ultrasonic wave is the testing method, and the automatic ultrasonic testing system would have been developed. The research has practical application value.According to the complexity of curved surface alloy component structure, the different parts of the ultrasonic testing method and the factors of the precision of the system and inspection sensitivity are analyzed. Depending on the requirements of the work piece, the testing system of technical indicators is present and the program is proposed. Finally, the structure of multi-freedom degrees ultrasonic detection system is designed. In the course of working process, the detection path is generated, and the error of the path effecting on the ultrasonic inspection results are analyzed, then the error compensation are carried out. The functions of control software, signal magnifying, data collecting would have been developed with Visual C++. For electrical noise interference, some measures, for example the technology of shielding and multipoint grounding mode, to reduce the noise was adopted on the related devices of the equipment.At last, the artificial defect was scanned by using the ultrasonic defect system we developed. On the basis of the C-scan image, the component image reconstruction is displayed. the result precisely shows the amount of defects, and determine the position, shape and other information visually. The results show that the system detection resolution reaches 2mm×2mm,and the rate of the defect detection reaches 98%. In order to further ensure system dependability, comparing X-Ray, the contrastive exams showed the similar results, which fully demonstrate reliability of the system.
