With the needs of modern engineering and development of construction technology, massive concrete structures are wildly used frequently in the power base, concrete dams, bridge podium, towering structures and large-scale building base.Therefore, How to ensure the safety performance of the mass concrete structural, becoming another new subject of the architecture field;How to conduct a comprehensive defect detection at lower cost and less structural damage to the original request, has become an urgent problem to solve.The current detection methods commonly used for large volume of concrete quality control has their own drawbacks ,so they are difficult to be widely adopted.Using ground-penetrating radar to test the internal defects of concrete will satisfy the requirements of testing distance, but test accuracy has fallen when the ranging increases. The use of scanning impact-echo method tests can avoid the interference of environmental factors, but the test structure can only achieve the maximum size of 1.8m. Ultrasound tests, due to lack of physical parameters, the general test distance is less than 2m, the precision can meet the requirements,but the test is restricted. Therefore, we propose ultrasonic method for the testing of internal defects of mass concrete ,which can reduce the cost of test, increase test distance, improve realizability of the test and determine the internal shortcomings of mass concrete accurately.Through experimental research, there are three aspects of the innovations are including in this paper:(1) In the progress of coming to 4m, the correlation between test distance and strength of concrete are got by using ultrasonic testing. large-Ranging Ultrasonic testing theory is proposed under the premise of stable data.(2) Using ultrasonic method combined with core drilling method to determine the internal defect ,the method not only reduces the test cost, but also improve test accuracy.(3) This test is based on the actual engineering, on the experimental findings and testing methods, the use of distance increasing ultrasound testing has a very important significance.
