Electric power steering system is the key to the vehicle handling stability and driving safety.It will solve the paradox about vehicle turning between "light" and "flexibility",to let the good controllability and stability,and energy-saving environmental protection become hot spots of modern vehide research.In the research of combined simulation about vehicle EPS.Because of the complexity of simplified vehide model and the uncertainty of control algorithm.The centre of thesis research is the establishment of vehicle model and the choice of control strategy.This paper to research a certain car model.According to the simplified physical model of car to establish the power mechanics of vehide model under the virtual prototupe software ADAMS/Car sedans.To establish the control of EPS system input and output variables in the model.To confirm power properties curve of the EPS sustem.And according to literature data and formulas to establish the mathematical model of EPS system.According to the mathematical model to establish each sub-module in MATLAB/Simulink software.And then put them together to ensure the power back to the PID control strategy. Using the established vehicle model, according to the actual vehicle test using ADAMS/Controls and MATLAB/Simulink software, including steering the vehicle for portability, back positive, the steering wheel angle pulse, steering wheel angle step of the simulation of vehicle handling and stability combined test.By simulation with EPS system and not installed with EPS system of the vehicle compared to the vehicle's handling and stability analysis of a comparative study. The results showed that the EPS system with PID control of the car than the car did not install EPS system has better handling and stability, improved low-speed turning vehicles turning light and high-speed stationary security. A good solution to the car to "light" and " flexibility " of the paradox.
