| The pounding between the adjacent upper structure because of the larger displacement of girders may cause great damage of bridge or even lead to collapse of superstructures, that caused by the earthquake. The pounding between girders is considered to be as a important factors of the bridge seismic response. We must consider its impact effect of the dynamic stability, while doing the seismic analysis of bridges. We must conduct a comprehensive analysis of the pounding in order to prevent the the earthquake damage of bridges that caused by the pounding. The pounding of bridges is the lateral pounding between the adjacent structures under the earthquake. If the expansion joint width between the beams can not meet the requirements of vibration occurs, the pounding will be occurred, because of the non-synchronous vibration of the adjacent girder section that caused by the difference between the dynamic performance of the adjacent structure. Learn from the findings of the world's major cities's earthquake disaster, we found that the pounding is the main reason of the structure's earthquake disaster, that also is an important reason for the bridge system's damage. With the development of bridge construction and bridge seismic analysis theory, the bridge pounding increasingly extensive attention from scholars, and made a lot of research results. The research on the pounding effect of the bridge seismic response, must with the characteristics of the bridge itself. In this paper, we research the impact of the pounding effects on the simple beam bridge seismic, to accurate simulation of the pounding phenomenon of bridges, accurately reflect the effect of the pounding. In this paper, the research object is a third-span girders bridge, establish its full-bridge refinement finite element model, do the time history analysis using the finite element software. Study the effect of various parameters on the pounding under the vertical earthquake. The major work of this papers:1,Overview of the existing pounding cell model, discussion the damping effect on the pounding and seismic response of bridges.2,Compare the two models that consider the collision or did not, explore that impact of the seismic response of bridges3,Analysis the effect of pounding, the impact of parameters on the pounding, such as, gap size, period ratio of adjacent beam, Seismic wave.4,Introduce the research status of the measuresto reduce the pounding and prevent falling beam in the engineering. |
