With oil reserves and ecological environment deterioration, the energy crisis and environmental pollution have become the most popular concerned hot sports nowadays. And because of the decrease of the oil reserves reduced and environmental pollution. Therefore the research of alternative fuel engine causes more and more attention. Because of its clean, efficient, economical performance and extensive source, methanol gets the praise highly of people in recent years. Currently on automotive aspects a wide range of applications, but in all other areas of application are relatively few. In this paper, on the basis of research at home and abroad with methanol fuel to power the development and application of a more in-depth research. Main contents are as follows:Firstly analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of methanol fuel for power generation, discusses the superiority of methanol and heavy oil in physical chemistry and burning aspects difference, analyzes on the methanol fuel gas turbines with the application possibility may affect with methanol fuel for power generation, the economy are analyzed.Article on power with methanol fuel standards for standard was discussed, and the experimental method and the significance of standard was analyzed, and the project and technical content worked were studied.Article through methanol gas turbine operation characteristic parameter to analyze the calculation results of methanol fuel gas turbines, calculations show that, the influence of methanol output of the same output power, fuel usage to increase the efficiency decreases, gas turbine.Finally, according to the methanol fuel gas turbines on the influence of gas turbine improvement Suggestions were put forward.
