| Highway monitoring system is an important device to ensure the safety of driving and the road unobstructed, which is also the main technical means to realize highway operation management and traffic flow is one of the important monitoring technical qualifications of highway monitoring system. WSN technology owns the advantages as follows:low cost, low consumption, easy network etc, which makes it performs good in wireless communication and data transmission and can apply to highway traffic flow monitoring.An IEEE802.15.4 WSN standard based on highway traffic flow detection system design plan is put forward in this paper after analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of existing highway monitoring system. It adopts a method named signal benchmarking system of ZigBee technology to locate the position of vehicles and transmit the information to the dispatch centre through the relay node. Short range and low cost of ZigBee technology ensure to improve highway traffic flow detection system of wireless communication network, not only can transmit data, but also can locate the position vehicles, collect the information of vehicles, to fulfill the purpose of net multi-purpose.This paper deeply researches the portable vehicle-mounted module which treats CC2430/CC2431 as its core. The ZigBee module of the vehicle will been waken as soon as the vehicles enter into the area covered with ZigBee network, and the module is been brought into the ZigBee network as a test node, the reference node transmits the test node layer by layer to the ZigBee network center node with wireless transmission, then all the data are sent to the data control center from core node, the position of the vehicle can been located after signal analysis, on this basis, which can be determine the drive direction through short time tracking of vehicle. This paper also study the communication mechanism and information flow of allowing vehicle-mounted module join the network, in and off the network of the vehicle-mounted module, a vehicle-mounted module switch mechanism is designed by comparing the signal strength of vehicle-mounted module's fluctuation routing node. Apply ZigBee technology to highway traffic flow detection system not only provide a new direction for the intelligent traffic development, but also expand the application of ZigBee technology,which promote the study of the theory of ZigBee technology. |
