Aiming the design of manual hole digging pile does not take into account the vertical bearing capacity contribution of the retaining wall to the pile at this practical problems. In this article, we use Finite Element programs ANSYS to construct a three-dimensional interaction model between the manual hole digging pile and soil medium with and without retaining wall. Studing on the interaction law among the retaining wall, pile and soil medium of the manual hole digging pile, as well as the vertical bearing capacity contribution of the retaining wall to the pile and how to consider the economic influence of the retaining wall to pile foundation in engineering design and so on like this problems, then calculation and analysis, and the results shows as follows:1.Compared with traditional manual hole digging pile, segmented retaining wall and pile-soil system is similar in load transfer process with vertical load, while the ultimate side friction of the retaining wall and the pile side friction along the depth change forms is not the same. Compared with traditional manual hole digging pile, segmented retaining wall and pile-soil system is consistent in side friction improve 10.7% under the total capacity of single pile.2.Compared with traditional manual hole digging pile, segmented retaining wall and pile-soil system is consistent in settlement characteristic with vertical load, while the pile settlement reduces 30% under the same load.3.The contribution of segmented retaining wall to artificial hole digging pile in vertical ultimate bearing capacity is about 20%.4.Putting forward unified quantitative formulas about contribution of segmented retaining wall to manual excavation pile according to bearing capacity control and settlement control.The research result of this paper not only enriches the theory of interaction mechanism among segmented retaining wall, pile and soil medium, but also has definite referenced value in pile foundation design theory and engineering practice.
