The aero-engine is a typical complex system of maintenance. The condition based maintenance which is a method to make sure the aero-engine is safety and reliable, have been taken seriously. However, in the exciting aero-engine management, the way of making decision of the time of maintenance is unclear. There are many decisions which have been made based on the experience of the aero-engine engineer. Because the performance decline is the one of the most important of replacing the aero-engine, there is lots of useful, correct and reliable information infer to the life of aero-engine. This article begins with the performance parameter of aero-engine, research on the method of using performance data to analyze the process of performance decline, to guide the aero-engine maintenance and engine removing. The main research content is as following:1. Under the condition based maintenance, analyze the method and the technology of aero-engine performance monitoring, maintenance management and engine removing. Among the aero-engine performance monitoring, I introduce the aero-engine's oil monitoring and EGTM monitoring, the process of engine removing.2. Using the method of time series analysis, research on the forecast model of oil consumption rate and use the forecast result to set the plan of maintenance.3. Forecasting the time of engine removal by Basyes method, calculate the date of removing by the left on-wing cycle.4. According to Airline's actual request, use the forecasting method and theory, design the software system of aero-engine management of condition based maintenance. Has the function of aero-engine condition monitoring, maintenance decision-making and forecasting of removal date. At present, the system is applied in the Airline successfully.
