Water-cooled VRF technology, as a kind of efficient and renewable energy technology, is widely concerned about by the relevant government departments and the researchers at home and abroad, in the modern times of facing energy crisis, reducing building energy consumption and promoting environmental protection today. Moreover, it has been applied in actual projects. In this paper, a water-cooled VRF experimental bench has been built, a continuous test has been operated and a simulation model of the system has been created. According to the test data and simulation result, the impact factors of water-cooled VRF system performance, has been analyzed. Besides, it has been studied how the change of cooling water and different load conditions impact on the system operational characteristics.Firstly, a water-cooled VRF mathematical model has been created, and then the water-cooled VRF system models, which are built on Simulink software platform, mainly include compressor, condenser, electronic expansion valve, evaporator, room and other models. Each module in this system has been analyzed and the coupling relationship among of the various components has been explored. According to the decoupling control strategy, indoor load and compressor frequency, indoor loading and electronic expansion valve opening degree control module have been created by artificial neural network and have been coupled with the system modules.Secondly, the cooling conditions in summer have been tested by a water-cooled VRF experimental bench, which includes the test of cooling water temperature, the test of variable conditions and etc. By which, performance parameters of water-cooled VRF in each operarion condition have been achieved.Finally, the measured data of the system verified the correctness of the water-cooled VRF simulation model and the result shows that the values between simulation and test have a high degree of matching.Therefore, in this article, the different temperature conditions and different load conditions were simulated. The basis has been supplied to the design and operation control strategy of the water-cooled VRF system through comparing the results of the various conditions.
