In recent decades, as the infrared technology developping in military field, it needes a large number of typical infrared images, while the acquiring of infrared image is quite difficulity usually. Infrared image synthesis due to its signifieant potential application in military,aerospace field, has got much more recognitions by national research institutions in many countries. Infrared imaging stimulation can provides a realistic three-dimensional visualization platform for military training, which can overcome the constraints by time, situation and environmental varieties. and can generate the infrared images of targets and background in the complex environment and interferences. Moreover, the infrared image simulation also can reduce the costs of research in weapon systems and shorten the development cycles.This paper describes the general process of modeling of infrared imaging in details, we must get the temperature field of the targets to obtain infrared images, with the use of FLUENT software, we can get the temperature field of air-to-ground missiles, cruise missiles and the ground target of bridge, tank and missile bases. Then, we compare the simulation results to the experiential formula calculation results. it testifies the accuracy of the numerical simulation. In addition, we also study the aerodynamic radiation characteristics of infrared decoy, analysising the influecne of flight, altitude and speed to the infrared radiation characteristics of the infrared decay. Then , using MATLAB software to programme and get the visible light and infrared images, analysising the spectral characteristics of infrared decoy preliminarily. At last, the article researches the infrared simulation model of large backgroud which contains some specifical military targets. The model includes the flying missile and sky background, bridge and river background, missile bases and mountain background and driving tank vehicles and grass background. We can use the programmes to get the infrared images of these big scenes in different atmospheric windows when obtain the temperture field. The paper has analysised the infrared images which in the different ranges of wavelength, the simulation results have a certain referenced value to the infrared target recognition and infrared camouflage technology.
