In recent years, due to its characteristic of cleanness and easily-control, electric-heating is being paid more and more attention. Electric-heating performs particularly prevailing, especially for the heating of southern cities, of which the heating season is short, the building heating load is small, and the fluctuation of temperature difference between indoor and outdoor is big.Among kinds of electric-heating systems, Carbon Crystal Panel (CCP) system, a new type electric-heating system, is widely applied in a lot of southern cities because of its characteristics of high thermal response speed, small thermal hysteresis and beautiful appearance. However, for this new kind electric-heating system, the theoretical research on operation regulation for the system is seldom. Concerning the indoor thermal comfort, characteristics of temperature fluctuations, and influence of thermal storage of envelope under the temperature-controlled running condition, there is no related all-round researches either.The experimental research on the thermal performance of CCP system under the transient running condition is firstly done in this paper. During the experiment, the speed of the room temperature rise, electricity consumption, temperature uniformity, and the feature of on-off running of the systems are measured. Experimental results show that, compared with the heating cable system, the new type CCP system enjoys faster temperature response speed. Under the transient operation condition, CCP system performs better temperature uniformity near the floor plane than heating cable system does.Based on the theory of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), the simulation model of the experiment room is built; the transient process that CCP system heats the experimental room is simulated by using the Fluent software; the simulation result and model are proven correct and valid by making comparison between the simulation result and experimental data. Grounding on this valid model, the 24-hour temperature controlled operation of CCP system is simulated in some room in Shanghai which is applied CCP heating system; the feasible temperature control method is determined; it is analyzed that the influence of CCP laying intensity and the thermal storage of envelope on the fluctuation of the room temperature. Finally, an intermitting running plan of CCP system is put forward and its electricity consumption is calculated.This paper provides theoretical basis and technical support for the engineering design and operation strategy of CCP system in the civil heating field.
