China's electric power system frequency and active power automatic control began in 1957, after years of rapid development, our country most of the provincial power grids have achieved the automatic control of frequency and active power. Entered in 2009, Inner Mongolia grid outgoing power, wind power installed capacity are among the first in the country. In this case, if the lack of effective means of automation, power grids, will be not supported. In 2006 Inner Mongolia Power Grid began a comprehensive to CC-2000-based platform automatic generation control system design and closed-loop debugging, and has now been officially put into operation.According to the actual situation of North China Power Grid and Central China Power Grid are transited by 1000kV UHV transmission lines, and Inner Mongolia power grid access to large-scale wind power generation, the automatic generation control system control strategy and control object have been adjusted and optimized to meet regulatory requirements.Automatic generation control in Inner Mongolia Power Grid system design and optimization process to achieve the main functions and the completion of major tasks are:1. Designed the Inner Mongolia Power Grid automatic generation control system basic functions, and a large number of unit operating status information had been sent to Inner Mongolia Power Dispatch Central EMS, closely monitor the AGC unit run-time status;2. According to 1000kV UHV line power control situation, the automatic generation control strategy had beed adjusted and optimized;3. Carried out Inner Mongolia Power Grid automatic generation control system joint tests;4. According to the actual situation of large-scale wind power accessed in Inner Mongolia Power Grid, had a research on the wind power automatic generation control feasibility, and initially tested in the Longyuan Bayan wind power farm.
