With the development of the industrialization in China, centrifugal fan is getting more and more widely used in all fields of national economy. The demand of production and sales of centrifugal fan is very big in the domestic market. The traditional algorithm of centrifugal fan impeller strength check is unable to find out the stress concentration of the impeller. We could only increase the safety coefficient to cut down accidents. It is a waste of resources by this means. With finite element analysis software can be easily solved this problem easily.Because of restrictions of the installation conditions, the impeller, which is designed by our research group, must change into aluminum impeller with the same rotational speed, 2000 rpm, instead of the original steel one, thus the yielding limits is greatly reduced. The ANSYS software is exmployed in this paper to check the impeller strength for small centrifugal fan, and to investigate the maximum stress and the stress concentration place. Then, on the bases of simulation results the impeller design is optimized.Due to the unbalance value of impeller, the vibration during the operation of fan has a great iMPact on environment, which disturbs people to work with a declining efficiency.The fan test-bed model is established by ANSYS. The natural frequency of the system is obtained from modal analysis of dynamics module, which belongs to the software. By means of adjusting model parameters, the natural frequency of module can stay away from the vibration frequency. Then, find out the change mechanism between the model parameters and frequency response curve by transmitting the results of modal analysis to the harmonic response analysis. The harmonic response analysis is applied to find out the relationship between the acceleration response and parameters in the test-bed model. The acceleration response under the vibration frequency of the system is proposed.The results of this paper can be a guideline for the characteristics optimization of the fan test-bed.
