Electron linear accelerators have been widely used in many fields of the national economy, especially in radiation processing and waste disposal. Based on the series resonance, air-core transformer and voltage doubling rectifing circuit,the single-phase resonant transformer has become the main pressure device of ELV-accelerator because of high efficiency, low cost, compact structure, less auxiliary equipments, etc. In this paper, the principle of a single-phase resonant transformer with output of 100kv/30mA is introduced.The design and optimization of its structure, calculation of parameters , matlab simulation and test are researched.The principles of series resonant, air-core transformers, voltage doubling rectifing circuit and cascade connection of muti-windings are briefily introduced.The equivalent circuit and vector model of the device are carried out,as well as the simulation analysis of its windings by ANSYS.The structure and component selection of the transformer,including the primary and secondary windings, rectifing silica sand and load,are designed. With the use of rectangular magnetic shielding, voltage doubling bridge rectifier, cascade connection of 4 windings, the structure of the transformer is more reasonable and the performance more reliable. The adding of equalizing resistances and the change in the order of secondary windings according to the inductor value solve the problem of uneven distribution of voltage. Equalized cap and balance tube effectively prevent the discharge of high-voltage . MATLAB simulation is carried out in ideal sinusoidal excitation. The resonant capacitor is identified according to the characteristics of series resonant, and the filter capacitor,the filter inductor according to the simulation of reactive power compensation.The waveform of simulation of the entire compensation is given,with the efficiency 80.9 %,and the ripple coefficient 3.12%.Then,the effect of the changes of the filter capacitor and load to the ripple coefficient and voltage stability of DC output is analysised.The filter capacitor and the magnetic shielding were replaced after the diagnosis of running failure,which was proved to be correct in later tsets.A SPWM wave generated by a sing-phase inverter is given . The linearity of the system impedance is good .The performance can generally meet the design requirements.Through compositing the model numeration with simulation results and the actual waveforms,the effectvity of the model in single-phase resonant transformers is verified.
