Since 2003, SARS, H1N1 influenza A and other infections broke out all over the world, which has brought great threats to the stability of human society and the economic development. Because the construction of the infectious disease prevention and control system in our country is defective, and the development of infectious diseases hospitals is unhealthy, when dealing with public health emergencies, the disease prevention and control system can not use of whole advantages. So the risk of infection has increased when large-scale infectious diseases were breaking out, making the safety of people's life threatened. Thus after infectious diseases broke out, departments and experts have began to discuss how to complete our medical prevention and control system, and how to update the infectious disease hospital buildings. As a result of a vast country which has so many people and large floating population, the frequency of the epidemic of communicable diseases is increasing. Then it became a very important issue which we should complete the disease prevention and control system, update the infectious disease hospital architecture and improve the abilities of infectious disease-resistant.Infectious disease hospitals are one part of the whole medical systems, which play an important role when dealing with large-scale infectious public health incidents. While in recent years, the voice of increasing the quantity of hospitals has never disappeared. However, as an organic part of hospital buildings, the infectious disease hospitals should be constructed based on the whole prevention and control system. Meanwhile, we needn't just emphasize on how to build new hospitals, but should think rationally that how can we integrate resources effectively, because there have already been many infectious disease hospitals and medical system has been much abundant. Therefore, this thesis researches with the analysis methods and the inductive methods, which is based on theoretical knowledge of architecture and urban planning. It also illustrates the current situation of disease prevention and control system and analyses the problems of infectious disease hospitals, which draw on the experiences of the Preventive Medicine, Epidemiology, Medical Equipment Engineering, Conservation and Environmental Science and Hospital Management Theories. At last, author constructs the framework of the research which is about infectious disease hospital architectural design strategy based on prevention and control system. The thesis summarized the operating mechanism of the prevention and control system in the view of current prevention and control system in our country and infectious disease hospitals. Then, it pointed out the imperfect place in the prevention and control system and the weakness of infectious disease hospitals. And it also brings in a new concept, infectious disease prevention and control system, in order to improving the capacity of prevention and control infectious diseases, and use advantages of the whole system. The infectious disease hospitals were included in the system and were studied as a subsystem. By analysing the current situation of infectious disease hospitals, author proposed a strategy of architectural design which is about new infectious disease hospitals, hoping that can updating and integrate the infectious disease buildings, and make prevention and control system more perfect. This thesis is a component of the National Natural Science Funds project titled Research of City Planning and Architecture on the Treatment of Acute Public Health Emergencies, which funds number is 50778047. It mainly researches on the identity design of infectious disease hospitals which are part of disease prevention and control system.
