Research On The Design Of Integrating Epidemic Prevention And Control In Nursing Units Of Infectious Disease Hospitals

The outbreak of novel coronavirus pneumonia in 2020 has greatly impacted China’s public health prevention and control system.The medical resources of infectious disease hospitals in China are relatively limited,and the allocation of respiratory care units is seriously lacking.The prevention and control of highly contagious respiratory infectious diseases rely more on emergency hospitals and temporary Fangcang hospital.It can be seen that to improve the construction of the public health defense system,we should still strengthen the construction and transformation of infectious disease hospitals in combination with epidemic prevention.On the one hand,we should improve the construction of respiratory care units in infectious disease hospitals,and on the other hand,we should improve the translation and transformation design of non respiratory care units and respiratory care units in infectious disease hospitals to enhance their resilience.Undertake a leading role in major epidemic prevention and control while maintaining good operations.This article takes this as the starting point,by reviewing the development history of infectious disease hospitals,investigating the nursing unit space of newly built integrated hospitals for epidemic prevention and control in Wuhan after 2020,comparing the nursing units of large infectious disease hospitals in China,analyzing the current situation and design requirements of nursing units in infectious disease hospitals,and summarizing the general design laws and spatial strategies of integrated design of nursing units for epidemic prevention and control in infectious disease hospitals.Based on the design of the Xi’an Public Health Center and the difficulties and design experience encountered in the project,this paper summarizes the design ideas and methods for the integration of epidemic prevention and control in the nursing units of infectious disease hospitals(i.e.the conversion between non respiratory care units and respiratory care units in infectious disease hospitals),providing reference and thinking for the construction of epidemic prevention and control integration in future infectious disease hospitals.The article is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction chapter of the paper,mainly based on the background of the rampant epidemic and the lack of lower respiratory tract care units for epidemic prevention and control.It proposes the design connotation and significance of the combination of epidemic prevention and control in the nursing units of infectious disease hospitals,and establishes a research framework.The second part outlines the development particularity and spatial characteristics of infectious disease hospitals,summarizes the emergence of the concept of combining epidemic prevention and control in infectious disease hospitals,and the necessity of combining epidemic prevention and control in infectious disease hospitals as the "first tier of anti epidemic" nursing units based on the elastic response of infectious diseases.In the third part,the author investigated the nursing units of the Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital with anti epidemic experience and the two newly built hospitals in Wuhan,compared with the nursing units of the well developed infectious disease hospitals in China,and summarized the problems in the setting of respiratory nursing units in general infectious disease hospitals,such as insufficient configuration,fuzzy streamline division,and sanitation passing.The fourth part includes Chapters 4 and 5 of the article.Based on the previous analysis,this paper summarizes the spatial strategies related to the design of integrated nursing units for epidemic prevention and control in infectious disease hospitals.Combining the experience of public health center construction in Xi’an,it explores a series of feasible methods for epidemic prevention and control in infectious disease hospitals,including specific methods such as nursing unit zoning,streamline conversion,conversion of various rooms,and conversion of related mechanical equipment.It is hoped that the research in this paper can provide a useful exploration for the epidemic response capacity of infectious disease hospitals in the future.
