As the important oil extraction equipment, beam pumping unit are used widely. Because of the characteristic of oil extraction and the pumping unit's especial structure, the pumping unit has been the biggest energy consumer in the oil field, make the energy conservation transformation and the automaticity promotion to it has the significant economic value.This article elaborate the pumping unit installs the frequency conversion system's necessity, and analysis the group control system's application prospect in the oil field, elaborate the merit of its integration control superiority and the ability of solving the difficult problem of"Feeds energy". Under this application prospect, this article has R&D a terminal measuring and controlling equipment based on the group control system. As a subsystem in group control system, this terminal system has the functions of the frequency conversion, the failure protection, the data acquisition, terminal equipment network, long-distance network and so on. The terminal system use the method of unit modulation, has designed the terminal system's control unit, keyboard and display unit, failure detection and protection unit, the driving unit. In addition, in view of the practical application need, this article has also studied the torque examination method based on the non-sensor; Finally, this article has analyzed PMSM space vector model, in view of the insufficient which exists in the pumping unit application, this article also propose some corresponding solution.Through to terminal system's test on the spot, I had proven the terminal system's each function achieves the design standard, and it should run reliability for a long time, This confirms the accuracy and the feasibility of the design proposal of this article.
