Piezoelectric pump is a new type of pump which appears as results of with the growing maturity of piezoelectric technology and creative application in the fluid-driven device. Compared with the traditional pump such as Gear Pump,Piston Pump and so on, piezoelectric pump use piezoelectric actuator rather than motor, therefore, it have advantages of simple structure, small size, no electromagnetic pollution, easy to precisely control the flow, can accurately control output. Based on these advantages, piezoelectric pump has advantages in the development of micro-fluid device, have Wide range of applications in fields such as Biological engineering, medical care, precision chemical analysis, pharmaceutical engineering and so on. Therefore, piezoelectric pump become research hotspot between scholars at home and abroad. With the mature of piezoelectric driving technology many new kind of piezoelectric pump are emerging which suitable for different areas.Mainly for two factors, traditional piezoelectric pump is not qualified for the delivering tasks in fields such as medical treatment, sanitation care and so on. One, the very two striking which occurs when the valve opens and closes increase the death rate of the living cell. The other, the turbulence and vortex due to the non-valve type component in the valueless pump which is used to generate the uniflow cause the twinning of the long chained high polymer. In order to reduce the striking caused by the valves as well as enhance the output flow and the head pressure, a novel type of passive valve piezoelectric pump was proposed, upon which the soft texture and conning shaped single valve was utilized. Firstly, the structure of the special valve was put forward; then the theoretical analysis on the deflection varying with the pressure on the surface of the valve was conducted; and finally, the experiments for proving the theory on the novel type of pump were carried out. The experiments prove that under the conditions of 150 volts of voltage(peak to ground) and 500Hz of driving frequency, the soft texture and conning shaped single valve piezoelectric pump with different interior and exterior slope produces as much as 170mm head pressure. What is more, from the curve we have got in the experiment indicating the relationship between the driving voltage and the head pressure, the conclusion can be drawn that the head pressure rises along with the rising of the driving voltage.Active piezoelectric pump can overcome the passive valve's lagging behind, but the shortcomings is its control complicated, complex structure, a serious impediment to the development of active piezoelectric pump, so a semi-active valve piezoelectric pump was proposed, a preliminary design and material selection, Manufacturing the prototype and conducted a preliminary experiment, the results show that the pump have a good output performance.
