Tactical Communication Network is primarily responsible for providing communications and liaison between the regional and headquarters. It means that collecting war battlefield situation information and transmitting to the command center in real-time. All of these information can be one decision-making basis for highest commanders. Tactical Communication Network is also responsible for issuing directives and uploading requests among commanders of all levels. Ensure continuous stable uninterrupted communication is extremely important for winning modern information warfare. Therefore, the Tactical Communication Network and equipment fault diagnosis becomes more important.Fault diagnosis research of Tactical network communcitation and equipment has been the transition to the third stage: Intelligent fault diagnosis stage. There are lots of similar research on intelligent fault diagnosis of network at the moment. Among all of them, many broke down the troubleshooting steps into: fault detection, fault location and fault verification, these three stages, and focus on the study of the latter two stages; many starting from the OSI network layer model, and found fault layer by layer using steps of fault detection, fault location and fault verification; many established a reasonable model for network fault diagnosis, using the developed fault diagnosis expert system for network fault diagnosis. In the aspect of network fault diagnosis, The Expert System method has its unique advantages. It can accumulate fault diagnosis knowledge and summarize experience of experts. It can also help spread and inherit these knowledge and experience.This thesis focuses on addressing communication and network fault diagnosis problems that teminal users often encountered in the process of Tactical Communication. Combined with the common level characteristic of Tactical Communication Network and human resources disposition condition and the current common management mechanism"Responsible for graduation"used by communication units, A Tactical Network communication and equipment fault diagnosis expert system was developed using expert system theory. This system can solve communication and equipment failures commonly encountered in regional network communication in real time. It also summarized the knowledge about solutions of such failure and accumulated troubleshooting experience of communication professionals. All of this can provide better assurance to spread of experience on fault diagnosis and resolve these sorts of failure in the future. The innovation work of this thesis manifests in:â‘ A new Tactical Network communication and equipment fault diagnosis expert system framework model was proposed. The model uses local fault characteristics and feedback neighborhood characteristics to diagnosis faults.â‘¡Realized a denpendency graph using communication equipment and its often direct connected equipment in process of real communication. The graph can serve as a reference to establish Tactical Communication Network fault connection model.
