Transmission Networks Single-Line Power Flow Diagram for Dispatching Large Screen Display is a core application display of dispatching SCADA and EMS system. The shape of dispatching screens is rectangular arranging the sequence number of rows from 9 to 13. With the progress of economy and increase of the numbers of substations and lines, complexity and frequently variety of power networks, drawing Transmission Networks flow diagrams by human power became harder and harder. It is expected that applying computer corporative system and automation algorithms to solve the problems of updating the flow diagrams.The automatic generation of Transmission Networks Single-Line Power Flow Diagram for Dispatching Large Screen Display which were separated to 3 steps such as layout of single-line diagram,routing of single-line diagram,input of real-time data. The author focused on the layout problems. The theory of packing problem was studied for the irregular polygon layout and layout of the container components and applied in integrated circuits and material cutting. As a complex integration of combinatorial optimization problem and NP-complete problem, the packing problems were difficult to find the exact global optimum in a certain period of time.The layout of Transmission Networks Single-Line Power Flow Diagram for Dispatching Large Screen Display is professional packing problem with its own characteristics. The main research contents are as follows:In the first, in the introduction it describes the automatic layout problem and the research significance of automatic layout of power diagram for transmission network. The research accomplishment of domestic and international packing theory and the present situation of application in the method of automatic layout problem are presented. It puts forward the research content of this topic.Then, it introduces some background knowledge which are used in the course of the study for automatic layout. These knowledge include SVG technology, several common global optimization algorithm, automatic routing regulation, etc..On the basis of the studies of the current packing problems, the packing model is discussed and developed. Furthermore, the solving strategy, which can be used widely, for packing problems are put forward. After this, the research on automatic layout of transmission network power flow diagram for dispatching large screen display is put forward. The course of this study can be divided into two phases as supply area layout, and substation layout inside supply area, which can keep the familiar of dispatcher, decrease the dimension of problem, and increase the efficiency for solution. A visual assistance layout tool based on SVG graphics controlled by Java Script and automatic layout algorithm are worked out for supply area layout. For the substation layout inside supply area, a compressive objective function is suggested, which not only covers the number of intersection and draw distance of transmission lines, but also considers the effect in routing phase, by which recursive calculation of layout-routing turn can be avoided; An automatic layout algorithm based on simulated annealing is provided, by which global optimal solution can be obtained from an initial layout which is obtained by discretization of geographic coordinate of substation. It is very import to choose every parameter which is needed in the automatic layout algorithm based on simulated on account of these parameters effect the efficiency and result of automatic layout algorithm. In the automatic layout study, it chooses parameters by traditional method and comparative method, and takes the substation data model and transmission lines model of one supply as a example, to test and verify the automatic layout algorithm. Furthermore, it makes a clear comparison between before layout and after layout for the number of intersection and draw distance of transmission lines. It can be seen, the optimizing effect is relatively clear.Researching and designing software system of the study by Object-Oriented Programming thought is described. The designed idea of software system and business processes of system developing are introduced. The final single-line diagram for dispatching large screen display of Zhejiang provincial dispatching center, using above automatic layout algorithm and routing program followed, gives a very satisfied result and has been used for real dispatching. Finally, some beneficial conclusions have been drawn and some prospect and consideration in the future have been put forward for more studying in the end.
