Vehicle Control Unit, whose main function is energy management and powertrain control, is the control center of a HEV. Parameters in the Control Unit, which are one of the key factors forrealizing the performance of a HEV, need to be optimized and calibrated.According to the optimization of the vehiclar performances such as power, economics, emissions, etc, calibration adjusts and optimizes the operating parameters and control parameters of the electronic control system software. With the development of automotive electronic technology, calibration of automotive electronic control devices have become an important part of the development.The paper describes the vehiclar control unit of the hybrid electric car. The calibration system of the vehiclar control unit is constructed in the paper, on the basis of the presentation of the CAN of the drive train of the prototype.To adapt to complicated operation condition,the control strategy is divided into three modes:start mode,idle mode,driving mode and brake mode, rely on which the effective control of hybrid system is successfully realized.CCP calibration system is utilized in the calibration of Vehicle Control Unit. After the calibration of relative parameters of different operation modes, the targets of power performance have been well realized.
