Having the ability to automatically change shapes according to the flying states and the environmental change to increase the aerodynamic efficiency and maintain the best flight performance, morphing wings represents one of the important development directions. Because the corrugated smart composites can achieve continuous and smooth large deformation, it is selected to be used as the morphing wings'skin. Meanwhile, accurate measurement of the morphing wings'deformation is also one of the important study subjects on the morphing wings'control. So, the test methods on measuring the corrugated composite skin are studied and the Distributed Strain Measurement System is designed in this paper. And the piecewise inversion (back- calculation) on the deformation of the trailing edges is primarily explored within this paper.Firstly the mechanical model of the corrugated composite skin is set up and deforms due to the tensile load and the relations between the global skin deformation and the local strains at the wave peak and wave trough positions of the corrugation are got. The resistance strain Gage Bridge and the Amplifying Circuit are designed, and then Calibrations are carried out on the measured strains, so the theoretical formulations between the global deformation of the corrugated skin and the measured strains are derived. The corrugated composite skins are fabricated and tensile tests are carried out. The actual tensile test results and the theoretical calculations are compared, and the tolerance analysis is performed, hens the correctness of the theoretical model and the feasibility of the testing scenarios are verified.Secondly, a distributed multi-channel strain measurement system is designed, including the hardware realization of multi-channel electric bridges and amplifying circuit, software and hardware realization of keyboard module, the software and hardware realization of liquid crystal display module, the software and hardware realization of multi-channel selection and analog-digital conversion module. and the realization of the data communications between the upper and lower computer via. the Universal Serial Bus channels, etc.Finally, the deformation of the trailing edges is primarily explored in theory, and the relations between the deformation of the trailing edges and the deformation of the corrugated composite skins which are riveted on the rotatable wing ribs are got. So the goal is reached which back calculating the deformation of the corrugated composite skins and the deformations of the trailing edges by testing the strains at the wave peak and wave trough positions of the corrugation composite skins. The software platform of the upper computer is designed. The data collected from the measuring system can be uploaded and processed at the same time and back-calculated to get the deformation of the trailing edges, which can be stimulated and displayed via. the OpenGL computer program.
