Development Of Expert System For Jack-up Rig Design

Nowadays, jack-up rig has played an increasingly irreplaceable role as an important tool for offshore oil development, while the energy crisis has become more and more prominent. Meanwhile, as an important application field of artificial intelligence, Expert System now has been widely developed and applied in many domestic industries. However, the Expert System for offshore platform design has not been successfully developed at present.Firstly, this paper introduces the traditional design process of jack-up rig, and discusses the basic principle of Expert System and database technology. Then this paper takes a specific study on jack-up design process and inference strategy which are applicable to Expert System, and constructs the rule database and integrated database by using Microsoft Office Access. On this basis, designing the interface of Expert System program, as well as code it by using Visual Basic 6.0 to complete the development of expert system software which is based on database technology for jack-up rig design. Finally, according to one jack-up design order, conducts a successful demonstration of the jack-up rig design by using this Expert System.This paper mainly studied the development and application of Expert System by database technology. On the basis of discussing jack-up rig design process, described the development framework and implementation method of Expert System and finalized the development of Expert System software which based on database technology, including database development, inference development and program development. According to design demonstration, achieved the jack-up rig design automation and intelligence. As a result, improved the design and efficiency, achieved the desired research goals perfectly.
